The Raven

Peruvian filmmaker Ricardo de Montreuil did the Rodriguez thing and made a short on the very cheap ($5k!) in order to showcase a potential film troilogy. Have to say I found it really compelling and just shows how story is everything (had a pub/walk talk with an animator on the weekend where we were discussing story versus visuals). Chris Black seems to have a special power in a futuristic and dystopyian Los Angeles.

Good luck to the filmmaker, I was sucked in pretty quick. Want to see more.
