Assassin’s Creed – Lineage Intro Movie
A lot of my gaming experiences lately have moved far away from the major consoles to more Wii-like and even iPhone casual game experiences, mostly because of a lack of compelling experiences and a fact that “gaming as storytelling” has suffered terribly in the last little while with “me too” and rehash titles from the major studios. This new intro vid for Assassin’s Creed sucked me right in though : Firenze, the Renaissance, Medicis, a plot, the Duke of Milan, and assassins. Whoa… And gorgeously shot like a feature film. Personally, I think they could have dumped the first minute preamble and let the narrator draw you in himself with his tale. I know I’m wanting to check out the game just from the vid.
