Rolling power outages in Aswan

Well, on battery power at the moment here at the hotel as the second power outage in a about a half hour just hit.

It’s sundown right now though and it was absolutely lovely typing with call to prayer wafting in from outside across the Nile.

The funny thing is, it abruptly stopped just as the power was cut as well since the loudspeakers are electric I imagine.

Power has just come back on and the muezzin is rolling on. Wondering now if it’s recorded or if someone is doing it live.
